Little Glimpses

We hope you had a Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful time celebrating at home in Virginia with Meade's family.

For our first "Little Glimpses" post, we wanted to share a few pictures from our Christmas festivities.

Christmas Eve at Uncle Phil and Aunt Kim's

John is quite the ham!  He is trained to smile whenever a camera is brought out; what a good sport!

And Daniel is the escape artist!

Daddy reading Luke 2 to the boys on our stairs on Christmas morning--a tradition carried over from my family...
my Dad read Luke 2 to my brothers in Georgia
this year, as always!

We also made a birthday cake for Jesus.
My mom used to throw a birthday party for Jesus when we were little and invite all of our friends!

John and Daniel were very excited about their gifts from "Maddie," Meade's mom.
She is always so thoughtful and comes up with amazing gifts for all of us!

What a blessing to celebrate Daniel's first Christmas with Maddie and Poppy.
Poppy and Daddy fried oysters--a special Virginia treat and Poppy's specialty!

“ ‘Be still, and know that I am God.’

The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.”
Psalm 46:10a,11
