God is Love

A message for all of us, God's children,
so beautifully grasped through His smallest children...
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us,
that we should be called children of God!
And that is what we are!
Now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.
But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
This is the message you heard from the beginning:
We should love one another.
We know that we have passed from death to life
because we love our brothers.
This is how we know what love is
Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."

-Excerpts from 1 John 3

How truly incredible that we can pass from death to life simply through love!
We pray today you will walk in the truth that you are God's child and that you will unabashedly spread His love to others.

I cannot believe John is old enough to have had a Valentine's Party at his preschool yesterday.  I could tell John was proud to have his little brother there with him, and John's "girlfriend" took a liking to Daniel too!  Can't wait to share on Friday about the inspiring trip we took last weekend!

  1. How cute... and wonderful. Praise God for the multiple blessings in these pictures, including John having his first "girlfriend" who wants to be friends with his younger brother, too!

  5. I found your blog through another Blog friend and just wanted to thank you. Without a doubt, that was one of the most beautiful posts I've ever read. it's been a while since I've read that passage. How remarkable to think we pass from death to life through love. It's almost incomprehensible, but true for sure. Thank you again! Many blessings to your family.
